Yakuza: Like a Dragon brings a fresh breeze to SEGA's famous action game series. With a revolutionary change in gameplay, the game shifts from action style to turn-based tactical RPG, while still maintaining the unique identity of the Yakuza series.

The player will take on the role of Ichiban Kasuga, a low-level yakuza who had to serve 18 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. After being released, he discovers that his Yakuza family has been betrayed and destroyed by the very person he respected the most. The journey to seek the truth and restore honor begins here.

The turn-based combat system in the game is uniquely designed with 19 different jobs for players to choose from, ranging from Bodyguard to Musician. Each job offers distinct skills and combat styles. Players can utilize any items on the street as weapons, from baseball bats to umbrellas, bicycles, and traffic signs.

The game takes place in Yokohama, a vast map with countless entertainment activities. Besides the main missions, players can participate in side activities such as playing games at the classic SEGA arcade, go-kart racing, karaoke, managing a company, and 50 diverse side missions. Every street corner hides interesting things waiting to be discovered.

Accompanying Ichiban is a special group of friends: Adachi – a rebellious police officer, Nanba – a homeless former nurse, and Saeko – a hostess with her own mission. Each character has their own story and motivation, contributing to a profound tale of friendship, honor, and redemption.

The game offers an extensive customization system for characters, from equipment, skills to costumes. Players can upgrade basic stats, learn new skills, and equip items to create a unique combat style for each character in the team.
