Darktide offers four different character classes to choose from. Veteran is a character focused on guns, allowing you to play like in Call of Duty's zombies mode. Zealot leans towards melee with the ability to charge into enemies. Psyker can blow enemies' heads off from a distance but has risks if overused. Finally, Ogryn is a large character who can act as support or berserker depending on the build.

The in-game space excellently represents the Warhammer 40K universe with its massive gothic architecture and characteristic gloomy atmosphere. The grand cathedrals honoring the Emperor tower above you, only to appear dwarfed by even larger buildings with exaggerated, spiky, overly gothic scale and intensity.
