Thymesia is a challenging action role-playing game inspired by Dark Souls and Bloodborne. Set in the dark and plague-ravaged kingdom of Hermes, players will take on the role of Corvus – a mysterious plague doctor with amnesia, on a mission to uncover the truth behind the disaster.

The plot revolves around a once prosperous kingdom now plunged into chaos after a failed alchemy experiment. The inhabitants have turned into monsters, and Corvus's mission is to explore this dangerous world, recover lost memories, and find a way to stop the plague. Players will explore horror locations in the 17th-century style such as ruined villages and haunted fairs.

A unique combat system with a dual health bar: the white bar shows current vitality and the blue bar represents permanent damage. Players need to combine sword strikes to deal damage to the white health and claw attacks to create wounds. The white health bar will recover if the player stops attacking, encouraging continuous offensive gameplay.

A highlight is the Plague Weapon system. Players can collect special abilities from defeated enemies, allowing the use of powerful attacks that can drain health or deal massive damage. Each weapon has its own effect and can be temporarily stolen from enemies in combat.

The game has 6 distinct skill trees (Sword, Claw, Counterattack, Dodge, Feather, Tactics) allowing customization of abilities and combat styles. This system encourages players to experiment with different builds and strategies according to their preferences.

Thymesia is not an open-world game but is divided into levels called "memories". Each area is designed with shortcuts and hidden paths to enhance exploration. The boss fight is particularly challenging, requiring mastery of combat mechanics and a thorough understanding of attack patterns to win.
