The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is the first collaborative work between two famous names Kazutaka Kodaka (creator of Danganronpa) and Kotaro Uchikoshi (creator of Zero Escape series). The game is developed by Too Kyo Games and Media.Vision, published by Aniplex on April 23, 2025 on Nintendo Switch and PC Steam.
The story revolves around Takumi Sumino, an ordinary teenager living in Tokyo Residential Complex – where every day passes quietly. The peaceful life is disrupted when strange monsters attack the city. A mysterious creature calling itself Sirei appears and grants Takumi the power of Hemoanima to protect the people he loves, but the condition is that he must stab a knife into his own chest.

Takumi wakes up at Last Defense Academy, a school surrounded by a supernatural firewall. He and 14 other students are recruited into the Special Defense Unit with the mission to protect the school for 100 days from the terrifying School Invaders. Can they survive and uncover the truth behind this invasion?

The game features a system of 100 different endings based on the player's choices, each decision bringing unforeseen consequences. The combat part follows the SRPG (Strategy RPG) style, requiring players to use the unique Specialist Skills of each character to defeat enemies in turn-based battles.

In their free time, players can bond with teammates through the social interaction system, explore the wilderness around the school, and craft gifts to strengthen relationships. The game also features Gift-O-Matic and a unique Persuasion mechanism to convince classmates to join the fight.

The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy received very positive reviews on Steam with 88% positive reviews from over 4,500 players. The game is praised for its engaging storyline, gameplay balanced between visual novel and tactical RPG, along with the distinctive character design art of Rui Komatsuzaki.
