Tales of Xillia Remastered marks the impressive return of a legendary title from the Tales of series, fully refreshed with upgraded visuals and modern enhancements. This is the first entry in the series to let players experience the story through the perspectives of two protagonists, adding a unique layer of narrative depth.

Players enter the vast world of Rieze Maxia as either Jude Mathis—a determined medical student—or Milla Maxwell, a mysterious woman who claims to be Maxwell, the Lord of Spirits. In this world, humans and elemental spirits coexist in harmony, now threatened by the rise of Spyrix technology, which drains the life force of spirits to convert into mana.

The Dual Raid Linear Motion Battle System delivers fast-paced, real-time combat. Players can link with allies to unleash devastating combos, utilize unique support abilities, and overwhelm enemies through coordinated strategies. Battles take place in fully 3D arenas with a 360-degree camera, creating a dynamic and visually engaging experience.

This remastered version features beautiful HD graphics, smoother animations, and significant visual improvements. Rieze Maxia feels more alive than ever, with finely reworked environments that deliver a stunning visual experience.

The game also introduces numerous modern quality-of-life features, including autosave, the ability to toggle enemy encounters, early access to the Grade Shop with 5000 points, adjustable run speed, an improved mini-map with full guidance, and the option to retry failed battles. These enhancements make the gameplay far more accessible and enjoyable compared to the original release.

This version includes all DLC content from the original PS3 release, featuring special character costumes from classic Tales of titles, helpful items for your journey, and additional bonus features. The game also supports local co-op, allowing players to enjoy the adventure together on the same screen.

The GP Grid system allows flexible character customization, with an auto-fill feature to save time. Players can adjust the complexity from simple to advanced depending on their preferred playstyle. On PC, the game supports 30 FPS, 60 FPS, and 120 FPS, with aspect ratios of 16:9 and 16:10.
