Scorn is a first-person horror adventure game set in a nightmarish universe full of bizarre shapes and a gloomy atmosphere. The game is developed by Ebb Software, deeply inspired by the biomechanical artworks of H.R. Giger (the creator of the Xenomorph in Alien) and the surreal horror style of the painter Zdzisław Beksiński.

In Scorn, the player controls a mysterious creature lost in a horrifying world where everything is a combination of machinery, flesh, bone, and metal. The environment in the game is not just a backdrop but also a living character with its own peculiar ecosystem. Each area you explore carries its own story, complex puzzles, and terrifying creatures, all blending together to create a coherent and haunting world.

The game applies the philosophy of "being thrown into the world" – you will not receive any instructions or explanations. The entire story is told through the environment and actions, completely without cutscene or cumbersome user interface. Players must explore, solve puzzles, and understand the nature of the surrounding world through experimentation and observation.

The gameplay of Scorn focuses on three main elements: exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat. The puzzles are designed based on experimenting and understanding how to operate strange machines in the game environment. The Full Body Awareness system enhances the immersive experience – you will see the character use hands to pick up items, operate machinery by grabbing switches, creating a very realistic and terrifying interaction feeling.

The survival element is reflected through the limited inventory and ammunition management system. You have to carefully consider when to fight and when to avoid, as every decision affects your chances of survival. Battles are not the game's strong point but add pressure and tension when you have to face headless aberrant creatures with no clear weaknesses.

Scorn stands out with excellent artistic design – everything is built from sinewy, fleshy elements blended with metal and stone. The game world reflects a fallen civilization, where Homunculi engineers once waged war against each other: one faction created cyborgs from human corpses, the other crafted military robot armor. The sound and graphics harmonize perfectly to create an unforgettable horror atmosphere.

The game contains content for adult players with extreme violence, blood, torture, body deformation, and disturbing images. This is not a traditional thriller game but a deep psychological horror experience that makes players feel nauseous and uneasy in front of bizarre images.
