Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma is set in the eastern land of Azuma after the Celestial Collapse disaster. Players take on the role of Earth Dancer with the power of dance to restore the devastated land and save the vanished gods.

The game has a unique Earth Dancer mechanic with dances, Sacred Treasures, and new weapons such as bows and spells to cleanse Blight. The most prominent feature is the complete village building system instead of just simple farm management.

The game is divided into four villages according to the seasons Spring-Summer-Autumn-Winter, each place has its own god and style. Terra Tiller allows free building in the Dev Zone areas, from houses to shops and fields.

The combat system uses katana, bow and arrow, and Sacred Treasures with a timing mechanism to exploit enemy weaknesses. Supports up to 3 team members and can transform into Wooly.

The game has 16 dating characters with full voice acting, supporting same-sex marriage. Traditional Japanese style is shown through character design, festivals, and landscapes rich in Eastern culture.

Released on 5/6/2025 for Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and Steam. The digital version includes the Rune Factory 4 Hero Outfit Bundle. You can use an Offline Steam account and find a Steam account with the game or a cheap Steam account to experience the licensed Steam account of Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma.

The village management system allows assigning tasks of wood collection, fishing, and mining to NPCs. The 18-minute real-time day cycle requires reasonable planning for farming, construction, and combat.

Sacred Treasures is a versatile tool for both combat and agriculture. Sacred Drum shortens the cultivation time, Rice Paddy is dedicated to rice instead of regular Field tiles.
