Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a 2.5D Metroidvania-style action-adventure game set in the enchanting Persian mythology. Players will take on the role of Sargon – a young outstanding warrior from the elite group The Immortals, with the mission to rescue Prince Ghassan from the cursed city of Mount Qaf.
The game features a deep and smooth combat system with a speed of 60fps on all platforms. Sargon is equipped with a pair of Shamshir twin swords to perform diverse combos, combined with perfect parry ability to charge Athra’s Gauge and unleash special skills. The talisman system allows customization of gameplay according to each player's own style.
The highlight of the game is the unique time powers bearing the mark of Prince of Persia. Rush of the Simurgh allows Sargon to swiftly glide through space, Shadow of the Simurgh creates a temporary save point for instant teleportation. These abilities not only support combat but also are the key to solving challenging platforming puzzles.
The world of Mount Qaf is vast with many distinctive biomes designed in detail, each area having its own identity with grand landmarks and hidden secrets. The interconnected Metroidvania-style map encourages exploration, treasure hunting, and shortcuts. The "Memory Snapshots" feature allows taking map photos to mark locations to return to – a utility highly praised by critics.
An adventure story rich in Persian mythology with many colorful and mysterious characters to be solved. The game is fully voiced in Persian (Farsi) – one of the first games to do this. The completion time is about 20-25 hours for the main campaign, up to 40 hours if exploring everything.
Boss battles in the game are designed to be extremely diverse and difficult, featuring a Souls-like style that requires skill and patience. The anime-style graphics with a modern artistic direction, combined with impressive musical rhythm, create an excellent visual and auditory experience.
DLC Mask of Darkness adds 4-6 hours of gameplay with the new biome Radjen’s Mind Palace – a surreal nightmare space created by the power of Dark Athra. The Complete Edition includes the original game, DLC, 4 costumes, the Prosperity Bird amulet, and the digital guidebook.
