WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers is an action role-playing game (Action RPG) of the Soulslike genre developed by studio Leenzee (China) and published by 505 Games. The game is set in the land of Shu during the late Ming Dynasty, a place ravaged by warring factions and a mysterious disease that creates monstrous creatures.

Players will take on the role of Bai Wuchang, a talented female pirate who suffers from amnesia and is infected with a scary disease called "Feathering Disease". This disease not only causes victims to lose their minds, but also slowly turns them into monstrous feathered creatures. Wuchang must uncover his mysterious past while fighting horrifying monsters and finding a cure for the cursed disease.

The game possesses a unique combat system based on the "Skyborn Might" mechanism, allowing players to accumulate energy to activate special abilities. Instead of focusing on blocking like traditional Soulslike games, WUCHANG emphasizes distance management and perfect dodging timing. This system encourages players to show off their skills through devastating combos by seamlessly combining melee attacks, magic, and weapon skills.

With 25 different weapons in 5 main categories (long swords, spears, hammers, dual swords and heavy weapons), each weapon offers a unique fighting style. Players can equip primary and secondary weapons to quickly switch during combat. Besides, the game also has 40 types of magic that can be assigned to 4 magic slots, creating diversity in tactics.

The game world is designed in a non-linear style with areas linked together seamlessly. Shrines scattered around the world act as checkpoints, while Shu Sanctum - a temple - serves as the main hub. Players will interact with various NPCs, take on side quests, and make choices that affect the game's plot and ending.

The game's plot takes place in an alternate history based on the actual Ming Dynasty but mixed with supernatural elements. The game combines real historical figures such as Zhang Xianzhong and Li Dingguo with ancient Chinese mythology. Historical locations such as Tam Tinh Doi and Jinsha were referenced to create realistic game environments.

WUCHANG is developed using Unreal Engine 5, delivering stunning graphics with improved physics and lighting effects. The game supports DLSS 4 and frame generation for PC, ensuring optimal performance on high-end GPUs. The soundtrack, composed by Anti-General, combines classical Chinese melodies with modern electronic elements, creating a unique atmosphere for each area and boss battle.

The game will be released on July 24, 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) for $49.99 USD. In particular, the game will be available on the first day on Xbox Game Pass, helping many players to experience it without purchasing. Pre-purchasers will receive the “Night & White Pack” including 2 outfits, 1 weapon and skill upgrade items.

With an estimated playing time of 40-60 hours and many different endings, WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers promises to bring a rich experience to those who love the Soulslike genre. With a Steam Offline WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers account, many gamers can experience this blockbuster game at an unbelievably low price.

After the success of Black Myth: Wukong, WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers is expected to continue to affirm the position of Chinese game studios in the international market. With a unique combination of Chinese culture and high-quality Soulslike gameplay, this will definitely be one of the most notable games of 2025.
