NieR: Automata is a famous action role-playing game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Square Enix. The game takes players to a fictional world in the year 11945, when humanity has been pushed back to the Moon by an invasion of machines from outer space. This is a sequel to the game Nier (2010) but has an independent storyline.

The story revolves around the battle between androids belonging to the YoRHa organization and the machine army. The three main characters include 2B – a calm combat android specializing in close combat, 9S – a scanner-type android with hacking abilities and expressive emotions, and A2 – an older generation android operating independently. Each character offers a unique perspective on the same series of events.

The game's combat system is extremely smooth and diverse. Players can combine light and heavy attacks into combos, dodge to increase counterattack potential, and use the Pod to attack from a distance. The game allows collecting and installing chips to customize character abilities, from increasing attack power to automatic recovery. The Auto Mode feature is also integrated to help newcomers easily get started.

The game world is designed to be visually appealing and seamless, with no loading screens between areas. From the ruined city to the lush jungle, each location is meticulously crafted with smooth 60fps graphics. The game also features many side quests and hidden events to explore beyond the main storyline.

Excellent music is a special highlight of NieR: Automata. The background tracks are meticulously composed, combining many genres from orchestral to electronic, contributing to creating an emotional atmosphere for each scene and battle in the game.

NieR: Automata is not just an ordinary action game but also a work of art with a profound storyline. The game explores philosophical themes about human nature, emotions, and the meaning of existence. With 26 different endings, including 5 main endings from A to E, each replay brings new discoveries and experiences.

The support Pod system in the game is extremely versatile. Besides the ability to attack automatically and lock onto targets, the Pod also helps the character glide in the air and perform special skills. Players can upgrade the Pod throughout the game to unlock more attack methods and new variations.

The game integrates many distinctive RPG elements. Players can collect a variety of weapons, level up through combat, learn new skills, and customize loadouts to suit their play style. Each weapon has its own story, contributing to enriching the game's world view.
