Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action role-playing game set in the wizarding world of Harry Potter in the 1800s. Developed by Avalanche Software and Warner Bros. Games, the game puts players in the role of a 5th year student at the prestigious Hogwarts school with the special ability to sense ancient magic.

From the beginning of the game, players can customize their character with many options for gender, appearance and Hogwarts house (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin). Each house will have its own missions and unique common rooms, affecting the player's experience.

The gameplay system allows free exploration in the vast open world including Hogwarts castle, Hogsmeade village and the Forbidden Forest. Players can use the Revelio spell to find secrets and receive rewards from treasure chests hidden everywhere.

Throughout your journey, you will take magic classes such as: Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Herbology and Charms. Mastering spells and potions will improve your combat abilities and accumulate experience points through diverse challenges.

Combat in the game allows combining more than 20 types of magic to create unique combos. Players will confront many enemies such as: dark wizards, monsters, giants and goblins through strategic dodging and counterattack mechanisms. Each battle requires flexible coordination between attack and defense.

You can tame magical creatures like Hippogriffs and Thestrals to move faster across the map. It is also possible to care for and nurture them in the Room of Requirement – ​​a personal space that can be customized to the player's wishes.

The main plot revolves around the discovery of an ancient secret that threatens the wizarding world. Players will confront many dark forces, including the goblin rebellion led by Ranrok. Choices made in the game will affect the story's progress and relationships with the characters.

The game has a rich social interaction system with NPC characters such as: Professor Fig - the main character's mentor, Sebastian Sallow - a classmate studying dark magic, and many other professors and students at Hogwarts. The player's decisions will lead to different outcomes in the mission.

Other unique features include: Seasonal weather changes for added realism, a morality system that affects the use of dark magic, a photo mode, and the ability to reset talent points.
