Ghostrunner is a first-person action game developed by One More Level and Slipgate Ironworks. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk world, where players take on the role of Jack – a super warrior with extraordinary combat and movement abilities.

The story takes place after the global disaster called "The Burst", which caused most of humanity to be wiped out. The survivors are gathered in Dharma Tower – the last giant tower of humanity. Jack wakes up with no memory of the past, assigned the mission to eliminate Mara – the one who violently took control of the tower.

The gameplay stands out with a fast and intense pace. Players can perform a variety of moves such as running on walls, sliding, jumping, and grabbing. The main weapon is a monomolecular katana blade, allowing enemies to be eliminated with just one slash. The Sensory Boost mechanic helps slow down time to dodge bullets or execute complex combos.

The game features a unique upgrade system through collecting tetromino pieces. Players can unlock many new skills such as bullet reflection ability or increased attack power. Each upgrade provides distinct tactical advantages in combat.

The game's graphics strongly feature a cyberpunk style with bright neon lights and characteristic industrial architecture. Synthwave music contributes to creating a tense and lively atmosphere, while also highlighting the dystopian ambiance of the game world.

With the one-hit kill mechanism, Ghostrunner requires players to train quick reflexes and the ability to learn from failure. The checkpoint system is reasonably designed to minimize waiting time after each retry. The game challenges players to improve their skills through each challenging level.
