ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights is a 2D action role-playing game with a strong dark fantasy style, inspired by dark fairy tales. The game is developed by Adglobe and Live Wire, offering a unique Metroidvania experience with a creative combat system and a touching storyline.
In the distant kingdom of Land’s End, a mysterious rain called the “Rain of Death” has turned all creatures into fierce undead monsters called Blighted. The kingdom fell into ruins with the cursed rain showing no signs of stopping. Amidst this wasteland, a young girl named Lily – the last priestess of the White Priestess lineage – awakens in a church.
Lily possesses a special ability to purify contaminated souls, freeing them from eternal curses. Instead of fighting directly, she summons purified knight souls to protect herself. Each defeated boss becomes an ally, bringing new abilities and skills to the player.
The game has a flexible combat system with more than 20 different skills ranging from melee, ranged to magic. Players can customize their loadout according to their personal playstyle, combining abilities and equipment to create their own strategy. The game's difficulty is designed to be challenging but fair, requiring good dodging skills and reflexes.
The game world stretches across many diverse areas such as swamps, polluted caves, magnificent castles, and mysterious ruins. Each area hides secrets to be discovered and powerful bosses waiting.
The highlight of the game is the music composed by the famous music group Mili – those who have previously made music for the anime Goblin Slayer and Ghost in the Shell. The 50-song soundtrack with over 2 hours of listening has received much praise from the gaming community and is considered one of the best game soundtracks.
The game has 3 different endings depending on the player's actions, encouraging replay to fully explore the story. The average playtime is about 15-20 hours to complete 100% with all secrets and achievements.
