Dragon’s Dogma II is a new generation action role-playing game from Capcom. Players take on the role of Arisen – a character whose heart was stolen by a dragon, beginning a journey from an underground prison to reclaim what was lost and stop the threat casting a dark shadow over the world.
The plot takes place in the context of two opposing kingdoms: Vermund of humans and Battahl of mystical creatures ruled by the goddess Nadinia. The political and power conflict between these two forces creates a complex story, where players must make key decisions that affect the fate of the entire world.
The unique Pawn system allows players to customize and control a team of 3 AI companions. The main Pawn can be fully created and customized, while the 2 secondary Pawns can be hired from other players through the network. Each Pawn has its own personality and skills, learns from experience, and adapts to the play style.
The game offers many diverse character classes (Vocation) such as Fighter, Archer, Mage, Thief, Warrior, Sorcerer, Magick Archer, and Mystic Spearhand. Players can flexibly switch between classes, combining skills to create unique gameplay.
With advanced RE ENGINE technology, Dragon’s Dogma II offers realistic graphics along with intelligent physics and AI systems. The game environment is highly interactive with a realistic day-night cycle, dynamic weather, and a diverse ecosystem. NPC characters in the game have their own schedules and react naturally to the player's actions.
The combat system has been improved with many new mechanisms. Players can climb onto giant monsters to attack weak points, use the surrounding environment as weapons, and combine teammates' skills to create powerful composite attacks. Battles with bosses like Griffin, Chimera, Dragon require high strategy and skill.
The game has a rich side quest system with diverse activities such as monster hunting, escorting merchants, rescuing villagers, and exploring ancient dungeons. Each quest has its own storyline, contributing to enriching the game world and expanding the understanding of the characters.
Dragon’s Dogma II will be released on March 22, 2024 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Steam). The game supports 4K graphics, ray tracing, and modern upscaling technologies such as DLSS, FSR to optimize performance. The Deluxe Edition includes exclusive items such as costumes, weapons, and consumables.
