Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is a first-person shooter game developed by Sledgehammer Games and released in 2014. The game marks an important advancement for the Call of Duty brand by taking players to a futuristic setting with breakthrough gameplay mechanics.

The plot takes place from 2054 to 2061, revolving around the character Jack Mitchell – a young marine. After losing his arm in a battle, he is equipped with an electronic prosthetic and joins the private military corporation ATLAS under the command of Jonathan Irons (played by Kevin Spacey). The story develops through many missions, revealing a dark conspiracy involving biological weapons and Irons' ambition for global domination.

The gameplay of Advanced Warfare focuses on the unique Exo armor system. The armor enhances the player's mobility through skills such as double jumping, fast sliding, and invisibility. This creates a multidimensional and dynamic gameplay never seen before in the series.

The game includes all familiar modes such as the main story Campaign, Multiplayer with a Pick 13 system allowing loadout customization, and the exciting Exo Survival mode. Players can choose from over 350 types of weapons with various different stat variants.

The game's graphics are impressive with diverse environments ranging from modern cities to devastated battlefields. The vivid sound system along with the unique hologram-style HUD interface contribute to creating a realistic futuristic battlefield experience.

The game allows players to extensively customize weapons, including killstreaks that can upgrade performance. Many DLC packs add new maps, Exo Zombies mode, and various types of weapons, helping to maintain long-term appeal for players.
