Assetto Corsa is a next-generation racing simulator featuring advanced DirectX 11 graphics technology, delivering an immersive environment with dynamic lighting and highly realistic surface materials. The game provides an incredibly authentic driving experience with cutting-edge features, including detailed tire simulation (flat spots, heat cycles, wear and graining), an advanced aerodynamic system with real-time telemetry-controlled moving parts, and a hybrid system with KERS and energy recovery simulation.

The game is developed at the KUNOS Simulazioni R&D office located inside the Vallelunga International Circuit, allowing the team to collaborate directly with professional drivers and racing teams. This ensures absolute accuracy in every aspect of physics and driving feel.

Legendary tracks such as Monza, Silverstone, Imola, Mugello, Spa, and Brands Hatch are recreated using Laser Scan technology, guaranteeing the highest level of precision. Notably, the historic version of Monza includes the iconic Sopraelevata oval from the 1961 era.

Assetto Corsa features an exclusive car roster with official licenses from prestigious manufacturers such as Abarth, Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Mercedes, Porsche, and more. Each car is meticulously recreated through direct collaboration with the manufacturers.

The game fully supports a wide range of control devices, from keyboard and gamepad to joystick, professional racing wheels, and motion simulator systems. It is also fully compatible with Oculus Rift, OpenVR/VIVE, triple-screen setups, TrackIR, and NVIDIA 3D Vision.

A variety of game modes are available, including career mode, special challenge events, single-player races, and multiplayer. Players can enjoy quick races, custom championships, and full race weekends (free practice, qualifying, and race). Additional modes include drag racing, drift challenges, and more. Four driving assist profiles (Gamer, Racer, Pro, Custom) cater to all skill levels.

Advanced features include detailed car setup customization, telemetry data analysis tools, and dynamic track surface simulation with evolving rubber buildup based on laps. The time-of-day system is fully adjustable, with the sun’s position calculated based on the real-world geographic coordinates of each track, ensuring realistic lighting conditions.

The game also supports extensive modding and customization, allowing players to create and share cars and tracks using the same tools utilized by the developers. This makes it an ideal platform for both professional sim racers and casual players alike.
