AI Limit is a Soulslike-style action RPG set in an impressive post-apocalyptic setting. In the distant future, when human civilization is on the brink of collapse, you will step into Havenswell – the last remaining city of humanity. After the mysterious collapse of the artificial ecosystem, natural disasters and war have wiped out civilization. A strange substance called Mud spreads everywhere, giving rise to dangerous bizarre creatures.
You will take on the role of Arrisa, a Blader – a new life form created by mysterious technology. Although they appear human, Bladers are actually a completely different life form with their own mission. Thanks to the power of the Branches (respawn points), they can be reborn after death. However, all the Branches have been destroyed or lost, and your task is to search for and repair them throughout the ruined city.
Your exploration journey will take you through many diverse areas: from the cold, damp sewer systems, the multi-layered slums, to the airborne city flying over the lake. Each area hides secrets about the collapse of civilization, as well as deadly dangers from monsters and mysterious enemies.
The special feature of AI Limit lies in the combat system without stamina limits. Unlike most traditional Soulslike games, you can continuously attack and dodge without worrying about the stamina bar. Instead, the game introduces a unique Sync Rate mechanism – a system that encourages aggressive and continuous attacking gameplay. When you successfully hit enemies, the Sync Rate increases, allowing you to deal higher damage and unlock powerful spells. Conversely, when injured or using skills, this stat decreases, weakening your power.
The weapon system in the game is extremely diverse with many different types, from light flexible swords to powerful large swords. Each type of weapon has its own fighting stance and unique attack style. You can combine weapons with special skills, customizing to create a unique fighting style that suits yourself.
The transformation mechanism in the left hand allows you to use dozens of different spells, from attack to support. By combining many of these systems, you can create diverse combos and seize opportunities in exciting offense-defense battles.
During the exploration process, you will find weapons, costumes, and relics of the ancient civilization hidden deep within the ruins. Each item not only provides combat attributes but also has a unique appearance, helping you create your own style when entering battle. Especially, Blader has the ability to read the memories remaining on the relics, allowing you to learn about the history of Havenswell.
Boss battles in AI Limit are the greatest challenge. You will face insane warriors degenerated into mad beasts, killer machines covered with sharp blades flying in the sky, and giant beasts trampling the ground, destroying the city with collisions and explosions. Through many deaths and rebirths, you must challenge powerful monsters, seize the breaks between fierce attacks, and fight with all your might to win, continuing the journey to the end of the world.
