Age of Mythology: Retold is a complete remake of the legendary strategy game Age of Mythology from the renowned developer of the Age of Empires series. The game takes players into a mythical world where gods, monsters, and humans collide, combining the best elements of the original version with modern real-time strategy design and graphics.

Players can choose gods from 4 civilizations: Greek, Norse, Egyptian, and Atlantis. Each civilization possesses unique divine powers such as summoning thunderstorms, earthquakes, or the legendary Nidhogg dragon. Additionally, they can call rain and summon fairies to help the population grow prosperously.

The resource system in the game includes 4 main types: food, wood, gold, and favor. Among them, favor is a special resource that can be collected through praying at the temple or building statues, depending on each civilization.

The game allows players to command a variety of mythical monster units such as Centaur, Troll, Mummy, and many other mystical creatures. From jewel-encrusted crocodiles with the power of the sun to the mighty one-eyed Cyclops, each unit carries a distinct cultural imprint.

The game progress is divided into 4 main ages: the Primitive Age, the Classical Age, the Heroic Age, and the Legendary Age. Each time advancing to a new age, players will unlock new technologies and units, strengthening their army.

The main campaign consists of 50 missions, taking players to explore a vast mythological world: from the siege of Troy, fighting giants in the icy land of Midgard, to uncovering the mysteries of Osiris in the Egyptian desert. The path to becoming a hero or even a god awaits.

The combat system uses the rock-paper-scissors mechanism where each type of unit has its own strengths and weaknesses. Players need to flexibly coordinate infantry units, cavalry, legendary units, and heroes to win battles.
The brand new Arena of the Gods mode allows players to role-play as legendary heroes, overcoming 35 challenges from the gods. From the icy Tundra lands to the peak of Olympus, each adventure offers a unique and replayable experience, whether alone or with friends.

Besides the main campaign mode and Arena of the Gods, the game also offers various rich gameplay modes such as single-player against AI, online multiplayer, or randomly generated maps that create endless replayability. Players can participate in intense matches with friends or challenge advanced artificial intelligence on countless randomly generated maps.
